Viska moved slowly around the scene, she had left the safety and comfort of her birth pack just weeks before, and was adjusting to life as a lone wolf. Her features showed a strong arctic wolf bloodline, her own pack had been pure blooded arctic wolves, but Viska had always looked a little different. She stood a head height taller than the others in her old pack, her build was stronger, and she was faster, as her legs were more muscular and longer than her shorter pack members. These were the more subtle hints about her heritage, the clues that she was not like the rest of her pack. Viska had grey wolf in her bloodline, which explained the physical differences in stature, and accounted for the most obvious difference in her appearance. Over her left eye, was a dark black patch, making it clear to even the thickest of creatures that she had grey wolf as well as arctic in her bloodline.
She was not ashamed of her heritage, it had made her stronger emotionally as well as physically, it had made her brave and stubborn, untrusting of the unknown to her, all attributes that may have improved her chances of survival. This lupine had always struggled with fitting in, she was given the lowest rank by her pack, taunted and disrespected by all as the omega, and all because of one simple marking on her coat, tainting her chances of being accepted. It had all got too much when she reached breeding age, and her alpha's had forcefully.. suggested.. that she leave, so she didn't spoil the gene-pool for future generations.
She sighed lightly in the wind, but made slow and careful steps, trying to make no other sound, for fear of being spyed by a large pack. Or even a small pack, Viska was one wolf, and the world could be a very dangerous place for a lone wolf. Though she could do nothing to disguise her scent, so remained trackable. She was hungry, it had been a while since her last meal, and kills were difficult with one set of eyes and teeth, particularly for a wolf with bright white fur - the element of surprise was often lost. She sat down on the ground, cold from the night. She threw back her head, exposing her white furry neck to the elements and letting a long mournful howl escape her lips.

Kaliska was on an adventure, without permission from her parents or her Alpha brother. She had decided earlier that day that she was bored and so she bolted from home. The last thing on her mind was being in danger, she had never experienced any sort of thing at home. The black female was quickly approaching her first year marker, and so she believed that life was easy. The pup did not believe anything bad could happen to her at all, the black girl roamed far and wide. Her nose to the ground and tail to the sky above as she loped along. Of course she could probably find her way back home if she decided to, but for now the girl was enjoying her freedom. As she approached this unknown land a million different scents came to her seemingly at once. Most she did not know and so her hackles raised in aggression towards these unknown animals. She padded along quietly and explored, taking in the different scenes with a grin on her face.
The scent of unfamiliar wolf drawed her attention suddenly and her paws veered off course, following that smell intently. Kaliska wanted to meet new wolves rather badly and the young ster did not seem to get that maybe the wolf did not want her company. She never thought that way no matter how often her mother and brother told her about it. Strangers were not pack and did not have to take kindly to her games and questions. Bounding forward she yipped happily when she located the stranger.
"Hi! hi! Hi! I'm Kaliska... who are you!"
She barked and pranced around the solitary female wolf, her tail wagging like crazy as she looked up at the female. Wow, she sure was pretty. Giggling the pup bounced into a play crouch and waited for the other wolf to give a response of some kind.

Viska was not expecting to cross paths with anyone so soon after leaving her pack, and if she had been, the very last thing she would have thought, is that is would be a overexcited pup. Viska turned and looked down at the young one, mildly amused. Her listeners then pinned slightly, as the thought crossed her mind, perhaps there were a group of older wolves with this young one? Her ebony wet nose scented the air, and her listeners bounced back to remain alert, but she could sense no other wolves, well, none that were too close anyway. And she decided the young one had come alone. She turned her dark amber orbs to the pup, fighting back an urge to laugh at the situation, this time last month she never would have expected to be in this situation. She was surprised by its behaviour, wasn't she aware of the dangers of strange wolves? She fought the urge to roll her eyes, clearly the wolves round here knew nothing.
I am Viska.
She responded simply, completely bewildered by what was going on. She hadn't ever really interacted with any wolves outside of her old pack, and was unsure what the done thing was. As a youngster her parents had warned her that other wolf packs and lone wolves were dangerous, and she should stay away, or risk being killed. This young wolf clearly wasn't a threat was her, did that mean she was supposed to be a threat to Kaliska? No, that was a ridiculous idea. Clearly all lone wolves weren't as dangerous as her parents had lectured her.
What are you doing out here alone? her tones felt slightly harsh, she worried for the young she-wolf, I could be dangerous. Her tones were now relaxed and amused as she entertained the idea, and her gaze settled back on the wriggling puppy.

Kaliska paid little attention to the world around her, instead she watched the she wolf before her with a look of total admiration and awe. She had managed to find her very first loner without getting in any trouble by her family. The pup's tail continued to wiggle and waggle at an incredible speed as the other wolf finally spoke to her. Viska, that was such a cool name, it suited the wolf, Kaliska thought. It all matched her. The other lupine asked her why she was here all by herself and the pup frowned a bit at the mention of it. The last thing she wanted was for the loner to take her back home, then she'd get yelled at by her mama and then her brother who happened to be the boss up there. Looking at her paws the pup sighed softly, as though she was already in trouble.
"I left.. My mom fell asleep and I decided to go on an adventure by myself. I live up on Zilar Mountain and came all the way here all by myself. I think I've done good to be alone and not cause any real trouble right?" She asked Viska with a innocent look on her face, normally Kaliska did what was asked of her but life was so boring anymore. Her brother Amaroq rarely allowed the pups to do anything remotely fun. They spent most of the day at the pack's den site being bored.. Occasionally her uncle Nails would take them out and teach them things about the world but still... it was not enough for her to remain entertained. The pup hadn't stopped to consider how upset her mother could be right now, looking for her. Nor did she realize that what Amaroq did was for her own safety.
"You don't seem dangerous to me at all.. Are you dangerous?"She asked softly her tone remaining one of wonder as she looked at the girl before her. Kaliska never knew what danger was, she had never met a rogue wolf with a bad attitude or any other large predator for that matter. This was all new to the sheltered pup, which was probably not a very good thing.
Whining softly she took a seat and watched Viska closely, hoping the older wolf could give her some advice and guidance perhaps?

Pale eyes scanned the lands that he did not know of. Hok'ee Village would have been beautiful residance for him and his family. He was happy with Donoma River. But he did need a little time alone. Soon he spotted a little wolf with another with a black patch around her orbs. She caught his attention. He couldn't lie about that. Filth appendage flicks quickly, as he lowers his mass to the cold lands. Twin peaks shifting upon his cranium. Hok'ee Village was a nice spot. Full of beautiful leaves that were beginning to fall to the earth. Their shades rosen, oranges, browns and some greens here and there. Kaga just watched everything around him, his dirty pale coat shifting with the winds of coldness. That made him shiver just slightly. He wasn't nothing special too look at but a sight to see with the scar over his eye. He couldn't help but raise up and pad over towards the butterflys.
" Do not worry. I do not mean no harm. Just out venturing the lands. I am Kaga of the River Band. " Least he was nice enough to say who he was and where he was from. " She is right young lass. There is many dangers that lurk the shadows. Bears are very grumpy this time of year, and coyotes are always looking for a easy take down. " That is one thing about Kaga. He always spoke the truth. Lowering his head slightly then lifting it. Ears flicker at the yowles of coyotes about ten feet maybe twenty at the most. He turned his attention towards them quickly. A snarl was given forth.
