Laka-deema walked with purpose, her lithe form melting in the shadows of the tree's. She was here on business and wanted to speak to the wolf that called these dark lands home. Months ago when the world was still warm she had came across him on accident, they had even engaged in a civil conversation. Now that the cold hand of winter was slowly creeping across the land, she decided to try and make this land her home for the winter season at least. She was not about to go to ZH and attempt to live there during winter. Everyone knew how bad it got up in the mountains, and besides most smaller prey came down to the valleys for winter anyway. Padding along silently the tawny feline kept herself on alert, the familiar scent of the malf wolf told her he was still leading here. Good. Carefully she stepped across his borders and went in search of him and his pack. Of course she was also aware that the pack could treat her as a hostile. Thankfully she was an expert at climbing tree's and could avoid them if she had to do so. Lakadeema was no threat unless you harmed her cubs, and those cubs remained far from here until she knew it was safe. Being that she was a first time mother, she was surprised all four cubs had lived so long. Perhaps she was a good mother? It was possible.
Approaching a small clearing the cougar rubbed against a tree, her cheek brushing against the harsh bark. As she finished leaving a scent mark the cat walked on, slowly, but decided to remain in the clearing at least for the moment. Now that her cubs were nearing a year of age, she did not have to hurry home to watch over them constantly. Both Ren and herself taught them to stay on the alert for danger, mainly other male cougars. She hoped that they had listened to her well enough. Laka rubbed against another tree and then sat down beneath it's dark shadow. Her keen eyes looking amongst the tree's as though waiting for someone to approach that could help her in her business. Frankly she did not know where the wolves were at the moment they were constantly moving.
Keeping herself on alert the female puma waited in perfect silence for the white alpha to appear like a spector. She hoped he would be in a good mood this evening.

Jealousy was said to mock the flesh it fed upon, the pale wolf was no better really but he was also annoyed. Yue was only being friendly, he meant no harm so Yukito had excused himself to patrol rather then rend fur so like his own from the other’s similar form. He was heading to a part of territory he had dubbed Kuninokuga for he had smelled the aged scent of the large cats there. Cutting through Wapasha since he was in the mood to kill something small and fluffy he froze nares flared at the scent of a larger predator. Lips curling into a snarl at the gull he sniffed again before frowning in thought, placing the scent he nodded to himself annoyance forgotten. Testing the air he turned and trotted after the feline, slowing as he reached shadowed ground, eyes scanning. The feline was near but where exactly he could safely guess, he was a hunter after all. Sitting down in plain view the pale wraith glanced upward curious what hunting from up there was like.
“Well, well my dear I did not expect you to come calling really. Now be a dove and come out so we can talk hm? I will assume you have come here for more then a chat, few enjoy trading words with little old me. Must be my sharp tongue.”
Chucking at that dark eyes turned to the shadows, muzzle curled into a grin. The feline had been pleasant company for a non wolf, and had not been weary of him even if he was a lone wolf. Lone wolf or not he could hurt one of her kind, even kill if he was lucky, he was far from harmless. Waiting for her to come out he just grinned, something to take him mind of his own problems. Her nose picked up his scent long before he actually arrived in this tiny clearing, Lakadeema watched the lupine with curious indifference. He looked for her and tried to find her but to no avail this time, with a soft laugh the puma wove herself around the tree and approached without hesitation. Her keen eyes's focused on the white form for a moment, he seemed rather tense. His words reached her ears and she nodded just slightly as she came to a stop a few feet away from where the other predator now stood. Lakadeema was the picture perfect form of good health, her fur gleamed and her belly was full in appearance, indeed it had been a good year for her family. Her tail twitched behind her silently as she took a seat after a moment.
"Of course Jujika.--- I wouldn't travel all this way just to say hello to you. I wanted to talk about a serious matter reguarding my offspring. Winter is on it's way as we speak, the mountains of Zilar have already gotten snow.. My cubs and I have recently left those mountains in search of a winter home and this land came to mind. We need a place that we know will be safe from bigger threats such as male lions that are not those cub's father."
She explained in a soft tone, not bothering to act tough and cool. There was no real need to put on a front, he was aware that she was a predator and could harm him as well as he could harm her. They didn't need to pretend to be hard. Her tail twitched again in the leaves as she looked around the clearing, honestly suprised no other wolf was with him. Didn't they travel together?
"If you agree we need to come to some sort of agreement so all involved know what is going on.."
Lakadeema told him off hand.

Pleasantly surprised the feline remembered his name the male frowned slightly when she spoke of cubs, he had never seen a cougar cub for good reason. Zilar meant nothing to him but he assumed it was a decently behaved pack if she mentioned it by name. Curiosity was all well and good but now was hardly the time for a game of twenty questions, perhaps once she was introduced to his pack? Deciding that was not a horrible idea he let it go for now as he stood stretching.
“My dear Lakadeema I was born in the cold snow and lost all my siblings to it, you need not worry about justifying coming here. My pack is mostly a clan, a well behaved one really, but all in all not so large we could not be asked to share. So a few cubs and the father is it? Very well, there is a land where your kind have walked before, I give you domain there. You are free to walk my lands as long as you see my wolves are not bothered and our hunts not disturbed. Two simple requests are all I ask, the price for failure is the same as it is for my pack however. I do not suffer threats or fools lightly, as a mother I am sure you understand why. Now what say you?”
Yukito was not one mercy but as long as the pride stayed out of his pack’s way as they hunted he saw no reason to make trouble. Misae would be safer for one, Lakadeema’s own young would be as well. He had never met her mate but since she had mentioned him he felt safe to assume he was not a horrid male. More then willing to give her time to consider all her options he sat back down. Civil conversations did not require either side to try an intimidate the other.

The feline watched the wolf as he spoke, checking for any sign of lies, she doubted he would. He didn't really seem to be the type to lure her into some sort of trap. Her posture seemed to relax as she decided that this was a good idea for her family. Watching him stretch her thought drifted towards her family for a moment, she wanted to return home soon. Even though her offspring were almost a year old...well that did not mean they were safe. Male cougars would find them to be easy targets.. She had lost her own siblings to a male cougar when she was nearly two years of age. They'd be okay for now though since surely Ren was still around nearby and would do his best to keep them safe. A slight smile crossed her face as she thought of an appropriate answer.
"That shouldn't be much of a problem Jujika. My cubs have no reason to attack or harm a wolf, and Ren wouldn't bother unless your pack attacked one of us. Things should work out quite nicely since we can benefit from one another."
Lakadeema stood slowly and stretched out her large body, her tail twitching behind her in an absent manner.
"That and I may be able to give you information about the other wolf packs.. There are a lot of rumors floating around the woods these days. Hmm, I'm just hoping their rumors anyway you know how birds like to talk.."
She stated in a neutral tone. Lakadeema had heard birds and other animals talking of a new pack.. a one that was filled with murderers and cannibals for wolf flesh. Honestly she hoped it was all a joke.. other wise things could get tense in the next few months.

Yukito did not mind the feline watching him as she did, only a fool blindly trusted another, he was pretty sure he did not give off a wholesome vibe. Nodding absently at her assurances her family would not be bothers to his underlings he could care less really. Cubs were easily enough dealt with and the pack would not take kindly to prey stealers about. The fact they both were on the same page pleased him, he so did hate repeating himself.
“Cubs are curious by nature, I have a yearling just as bad in my care now actually. I will see the pack is informed and so will be civil to your cubs There is no need to invite misunderstandings between our…protectorates.”
Cubs wondering about were not all that worrisome when their mothers were not going to try and eat your face for awwing at them. Ears perked at the talk of rumors, much more interesting to him then playful cubs not of his pack. Tilting his head he gave her a sly sneer of amusement, normally only other wolves tried to make themselves so useful to him. Intrigued he did not mind showing it, the feline was no threat to him and so he was no threat in return.
“I do enjoy spying myself but with a pack to protect I cannot go slipping around like the ghost I resemble. Any pack foolish enough to move against my own will learn the folly of such boldness soon enough but I would not object to knowing what is out there. This land will remain safe out of fear, fear of our wrath should any dare incur it. If you have any friends you wish sheltered tell them to speak the word okami, my pack will be told this means leave them be. It means wolf in my native tongue, simple enough.”
Walking up to the feline he rubbed his pale fur against her own, picking up her scent to pass along to his pack. Satisfied he backed away with a wolfish grin, this had been an interesting meeting to say the least. Nodding towards the lands her race preferred to live and kill in he took a breath, a little more talking was required.
“Kuninokuga is that way, enjoy it, I will bring the others to meet your kin around sundown so we can all get acquainted. I assure you they will be have so long as their yearling adores your own cubs, she favors me so that should not be an issue. If you need to hunt tell your mate he is free to hunt here so long as well are not using it. Now is there anything else or should we head back to our respected groups and explain all of this?”

Lakadeema had no real reason to ever go against the pack or their alpha, the only way she would strike against them was for her kittens. Her loyalty was foremost to her family and then the pack could be taken into consideration. It was rather uncommon for interspecies relations such as this, most puma and wolf did not interact. However it benefitted but of them to be civil to one another so why not just go with the flow of things? She listened to him speak and nodded in response to his words. He seemed rather curious about the new pack and so she would deliver what information she could to him as of this moment in time. Slowly she stood and faced the white wolf her eyes glistening almost tirelessly.
"There is a new group here in Minjdoka. They are monsters.-----They eat their own kind.. Lead by a male named Askook and his mate Chu'si. From what I have heard they have taken Lokni Falls over, chasing the former pack out of this area entirely. I have no doubt your pack can handle themselves but if you dont mind me saying... it would be a good idea to keep an eye out for trouble. These wolves would love to eat your yearling.. Misae is it? I heard recently that they killed off a wolf family in one of the loner lands.. all but one died in the massacre. I don't know what happened to the remaining girl.."
She trailed off and gave him a rather grim look. Jujika seemed to be a capable alpha but that did not mean he would be ready for such an onslaught should it occur. Most did not want to believe in cannibals and creepies... but for now they were quite real. Lakadeema would keep a close eye on that pack for now. Make sure they weren't planning anything against the pack she called home.
"That sounds fine. We'll be awaiting your packs approach. Make sure you give us some sign that you come.."
With that she started to turn to leave but waited to see if he had any parting remarks.

Eyes the color of drying blood widen with shock at the mention open cannibalism, it took a bit to get his attention. He himself ate an ear here or there, coyote’s hearts were torn out and feasted when he bothered to kill one, but that was hardly the same thing. Eyes narrowed in contempt as she continued, tone none too pleased with what she was sharing. Lips curled into a snarl mind made up about this Askook person, he would die if he ever set foot on his lands. Nodding when the feline stopped speaking he turned towards where his pack was gathered, they would not be happy to hear all of this.
“Askook and his Chu’si will pay dearly if they try and harm any who walk here, your kittens included, we shall see to that. If the child lives and finds her way here she will be protected, if there is one thing I hate more then humans and their filthy mutts it is cub killers. I think you for this warning, it will be put to good use, knowledge is an underated power.”
Yukito was already thinking of ways to torturer this unworthy mad king, part of him fearing he was headed down that same path before coming here. Had he been? Could the sweet naive Yuki really become so warped as to eat the cubs even Yukito would not touch? The fact he could not outright dismiss the idea made him feel ill, Recca would likely follow his train of thought. Sighing softly he turned his attention back to Lakadeema when she spoke again, nothing upsetting this time. Logical as any worthy Alpha she proved this civil agreement would be best for the safety of both their groups.
“I will howl three times before stopping at the borders. You are no Alpha but I see no reason to not show you the same respect I have asked of you. Civil relations will keep both our groups safer then posturing every time we cross paths. I hope your mate is as practical, it will make things so much easier. Lakadeema-dono.”
Bowing his head to the feline the white male turned and headed back to his pack leaving her to gather her family and feel them in. Sundown was a few hours off still and so there was still some time to see everyone knew the score, misunderstandings could be such headaches.
