Pale pelted fem had risen recently from the pack's den site. She couldn't bare to be huddled in that space for much longer, smelling Kali's blood. Though the wound was surely healing, and nicely it seamed she had to get away for a while. She was the Gamma female, part of her duty to her pack was to help protect it and she figured a good tour on the Zillar Heights boundaries would calm her nerves. Her white pelt was still mudded from the hunt and she felt unbearably dirty but it could be tolerated for now. Her hazel orbs were attentive to all the details around her as she scouted around. Lifting her muzzle to the air she carefully scented the breeze; scents from this terra and their neighbors drifting to her and she took a moment to simply take in all that could be found around the pack's sometimes harsh haven.
Nicodemus was a formidably female to be sure. None really knew what she was thinking or feeling at any given time and her size often made others pay attention to her. She was certainly muscled well for a female -- But enough ego-stroking. It took her most of the day to cover a good portion of the borders, she couldn't possibly do it all herself and so trusted the rest of the land to the care of her pack-mates. Pausing for a moment she grimaced at the feeling of so much dust in her pelt. Taking a visual of her side she visibly frowned at her dull looking pelt, snow white pelt and coal black shoulders mixed together in shades of muddy grey. Her zeniths laid back-wards as she paced away from her current location. She knew just the place to rid herself of the imposing dirt. Lomahonva had a quite sizable lake just waiting for her, and what a splendid idea that was.
Nic's face split into a small grin as she began to strongly smell the water scents. She slowed her fast jog when she was close enough and stopped near the water's edge. Lifting her head her zeniths swiveled to catch the sounds around her. When she found nothing to cause alarm or hesitance she happily leaped into the waters. Coloured leaves swirled around her, the trees shedding their leaves for the Autumn season. She could practically purr (so to speak) in pleasure at the feeling; she really did enjoy a good swim. After a good time she finally decided to wade her way back out. Now that the water had washed away most of the impurities in her pelt she padded docilely away from the banks of the great lake. After giving her pelt a good shake she seated herself down, tail beating the ground every now and then in enjoyment. She proceeded to groom herself till her fur was back to a respectable flow.
