Once upon a time, she was a princess.. An heiress to a pack and a future that was bright with love and happiness. She longed for those moments so very long ago, even though it only happened a year ago around this time. A tight frown crossed her features as the shadowed female walked lands completely unknown to her. Recca had fled from her birth land as soon as she had awoken to find the destroyed members of her family and clan. She had never looked back, and with each step she felt pain anew. Having everything torn away from her.. was heart breaking. Not only that but she lost the male she was going to mate with, a male she had deep feeling for. Yukito had truly been her very best friend, and him being gone just wasn't getting any easier as time went on. Though she had come to the realization that she would have to find a home for herself. Traveling with only one other Nomine was not easy, and they knew that autumn would be approaching. With the falling leaves life itself would become harder for them.. So they needed to find a pack to stay with. Recca tilted her nose to the air and snorted softly at the thick scent of male wolf, a deep musk. It seemed familiar to her, but for some reason it did not completely register in her brain.
Stepping up to the boundary of the pack's territory the shadowed female, howled. Her cry singing out into the twilight as she proposed her want to be in this clan. As the howl ended she slowly seated herself and waited for the Alpha or Beta to approach and either accept her or chase her off. Either way she had to be prepared for a change in her life. Which was truly no simple task for her.. casting her eyes up towards the dying sun.. she frowned softly. Night was coming and she hoped she would be accepted before it fell. Being a lone wolf at night was dangerous, since other wolves and predators were out and about.
Sighing softly, she bowed her head and stared at her paws.

[glow=crimson,2,300]You felt the coldness in my eyes, It's something I'm not revealing. Though you got used to my disguise, You can't shake this awful feeling... [/glow]
Yukito had not been in such high spirits for a little under a year now but this odd group of wolves he had acquired just seemed to constantly amuse him. He had left to give Shikra and the Anwe a chance to bond since he had no interest in ever mating her and the Anwe twins had shown a bit. A purely instinctual reaction to her perhaps but they both seemed to like her company, and she seemed to liked theirs in turn. Feeling pretty good about this whole fulfilling his birth right thing he went and retrieved the rabbit Misae had missed starting that little drama. Tearing it apart quickly the white wolf licked thick blood from his lips absently. Cold food other then sushi was normal not preferred but he doubted anyone else remembered the slain usagi laying around. A howl drew his head up, ears turned back as he frowned confused, it was not the first time he thought he had heard a voice from the past but it had been some time since he last had. Dismissing it as his mind once again playing tricks on him the ghost akin male moved through his shadowed world towards his borders yet again. Part of him debating creating a den near the borders for days like these he shook his head at the idea but did not completely dismiss it.
Nares flared but the stilling winds did not seem to want to cooperate with him so he used the howl as a guide to finding the female. Only a baka relied on one sense and did not learn to track with any other, a strong enough sent in the face like a skunk would mess up your nose for a little while. Eyes use to tracking moment caught the female before the brain realized they had, body turned to face her automatically. Dark stare finally turning to face this newcomer and he just stared. True had had wolves of similar coloring before, it was not as rare as Shikra’s, but never quite right. There was no way this was real but he could swear he was staring at Recca Nomine after almost a year of her rotting in the woods that had been his home since birth.
“Muri desu…”
{Muri desu translates to it’s impossible to those who want to know exactly what he said and not type it into Goolge.}

Her wait was not a very long one, her eyes spotted the approaching form from far off. It was hard not to see the wolf considering their coat was as white as freshly fallen snow. Recca flared her nostrils as she tried to pick up the scent of this approaching lupine, but to no real avail. Finally, the wolf came out of the tree line and she watched for a long moment, her body trembling as though it was freezing cold out. In her mind she was seeing a ghost, it couldn't possibly be who it looked like. Her nose wriggled again, and a soft gasp came tumbling from her mouth. Immediately her ears flattened and a almost wary look crossed her beautiful face. There had been times in her life when she had approached strange wolves that even looked remotely like him... always to get chased away. Ironically enough as soon as she stopped searching for him, here he was. Breathing heavily the speckled femme took a small step forward. Perhaps she was insane and this was just a ghost.. Recca continued to whine under her breath, not yet speaking she was afraid that if she did he'd just disappear into thin air. Coming to a stop a mere few feet from the white male, she finally choked out his name.
“Yuki?”
It was nothing more than a whisper on the wind. Her fur blowing about in the summer breeze. She hardly believed it.. Everyone had died that fateful day last summer.. she had been knocked out in the beginning of this slaughter. The human male had forgotten to kill her and so she had slept through the entire ordeal. Awakening just after sunset to see the various forms of her pack mates all dead.. Some beheaded and others shot full of holes.. Before she left she had looked frantically for Yukito, hoping that he had survived the carnage. Recca never found his body, and so believed in her heart that he lived. She had began a search, one that seemed futile.
“I've looked for you for so long...”
A soft whine escaped her, her body shivering as she watched the male wolf before her. Breathing in his scent and finally after a year feeling a wee bit better about her life. Just a bit. She hoped he would not run away from her, thinking her a demon.

[glow=crimson,2,300]There's blood on my hands like the blood in you. Some things can't be treated so, Don't make me, Don't make me be myself around you. [/glow]
The wolf who should not be reacted as he always pictured Recca reacting to him if she found him, he had always dreamed she would be relived he was alive. Nares flared as this ghost from his past approached him as if he was fade away, the scent was unmistakable. For almost a year pain had been both killing and sustaining him, spreading to the fools who got too close, dared to invoke his rage. How many wolves had he left marred for saying those four letters? Throat suddenly dry hurt but he could careless, pain had yet to kill him. She spoke of searching for him and he looked away ashamed, he had fled the land that would have been theirs, fled the charred lands that his clan had taken, fled from it all. Did she know his clan was burned to ash? Had she run to the only family she would have still had and found only more loss? Was she broken and raw inside or had she remained pure and would cringe from what he had become? Coming to this place he had began to heal just a little, taking a land for his own, acquiring a pack to poor his hate and rage fuelled energy into protecting. His pain had become his power, Yuki had never been so strong, able to silence with a glare, unnerve with a laugh. This Wraith he had become rejected warmth and love, it wanted none of it. Frustrated with his conflicted voices he let out a cry of pure emotion, as close to a roar as a wolf can come, before lowering his head panting. Emotions could be so exhausting, he never understood it but he could not deny it. Lifting his dark gaze back to the equally dark female he swallowed to wet his throat, dry cracked voices made everything sound all the worst.
“Recca…I killed them, the humans, I killed them for what they had done. I tore their throats from their weak bodies, spilled their cursed blood, but it did not bring anyone back. The Jujika clan is ash, Nomine is dirt, Yuki…Yuki is nothing but an akama now.”
Turning his head away he sighed, there was no hiding the fact he had changed, at least not for long. Oh more a Yuki had resurfaced since coming here but the happy go lucky yearling was long dead. Nothing he could do would bring the happy youth back, too much had happened for that to ever happen. Two packs lost was enough to scar any soul, losing love had ruined enough lives in the past, combined he had no chance. First year had taken his mother and siblings, second year…everyone else, third year the Kami had found a new way to mess with him.

Her ears flattened as the harsh cry was ripped from the white male's throat. Those shudders increased a bit as she took a small step back. Recca did not know what sort of wolf he was now, and she was not about to lose her life should he decide to kill her. After the sound of his agony faded from her ears, the speckled femme looked back at him. Her beautiful gold eyes meeting his dark and for a moment she just stared at him. This was something she never imagined having to do, after a year she had given up on finding him. A part of her had even found closure with his disappearance, that perhaps it was better to not be together. Now as she watched him, her heart slammed around inside of it's cage. The cliche butterfly effect was making her all the more nervous. In these last few moments she realized dully that she was still in love with him. It was so painful to admit it. His words came next and a part of her cringed at the way he spoke of those humans. She knew they had died, she had found their bodies inside of the truck, but it not brought her any sort of solace. Even with them dead, her family did not return. Recca had denied the dogs a way of escape, those that were already placed in cages, those that were free seemed to shy away from her.
Then she fled, not looking back at the carnage. Her nose trying in vain to find a familiar scent, but it had found nothing. She only manged to find a few speckles of blood from her would be mate, nothing more. As time passed she became more angry and morbid, her thoughts often going to dark things. Recca figured she'd never find a male that would want to mate her, not with how she was. How she would be so angry she would maul anything in her path --- only to forget why she had done it a few moments later.
"Is this your pack now Yuki?"
She asked him quietly, inwardly surprised that he had moved on--and was able to lead another pack. Recca would not judge him on it however since she knew that everyone grieved differently. The idea of living in a pack with him was an exciting one for the speckled female, and she hoped he would accept her to live in his lands.
"Can I join you---here in this land?"
Recca slowly lowered her frame into a submissive position, tail tucked and body made small to show that she knew who was her alpha.

[glow=crimson,2,300]I miss you, miss you so bad I don't forget you, oh it's so sad I hope you can hear me I remember it clearly
The day you slipped away Was the day I found it won't be the same Oh[/glow]
Head snapped back around when she asked him about his pack, a simple question not snapped or shouted at him. Part of him had completely forgotten the others, they still did not matter much to him. Jujika was not a friendly way to address him, he was not friends with these wolves no matter how easy they got along. He had never wanted anyone close to his heart again, safe from pain he could continue as he had. Opening his mouth to answer he shook his head when she lowered herself before him, they had always been equals really before. True once his father and most of his clan had left he had lost the title of heir but he had not been treated any differently. What he saw so clearly now is the pack had known he would join with Reeca and so they had no reason to change their treatment of him. Had they really not seen the signs of it then? How foolish they had been just happy being with each other.
“Don’t do that Tenshi, please?”
Pleading was something he had not done to another of his own kind in so long, mocking them was hardly the same thing. His old endearment slipped from his maw without him even realizing he had used it, he just could not stand seeing her humbled like that. Nudging her with his muzzle he jerked back, touch brought too many memories for him to handle. Closing his eyes he forced Yuki’s turmoil behind the ice of Yukito’s armor. Feelings could be sorted out and hurt latter, it would do no one any good if he was wreck, especially not if his pack had been drawn by his cry.
“Today I claimed this Morinokge, it did not take long for uninvited quests to appear, a yearling saving them from my wrath. The Anwe clan of five have been welcomed and a lone fae calling herself Shikra as well. I wanted nothing close to me heart again but they are good wolves, they will like you. No matter what rank you ask for never feel you must submit to me again, I am nothing worthy of your reverence.”

Her ears flattened as she heard her pet name, one that she had once cherished. Now she was unsure as to whether it mattered or not? Obviously with all the time and distance between them, they were no longer intended mates. Besides he now had his own pack to lead and defend, what if he had found some other female to take her place? It was possible after all, Yukito was a attractive male and could easily find a female to be by his side. A sad smile crossed her face as she slowly backed away from him, just a few paces. Recca was unsure of this entire situation if she should stay here with him or move along to another pack? A part of her wanted to stay here with him to be by his side again, a more sinister park told her to leave now before she got hurt again. A slight shudder raced down her spine as she looked at the male she considered to be her very best friend. Breathing heavily she smiled rather sadly. This was surely a messed up situation if there ever was one.
"I'm not sure what rank I should have in your pack Yuki.. I never thought about it.."
Finding a pack had been her first goal, now she was unsure of it. Where would she stand amongst these unknown wolves. It would be strange for her to be living with those she had no bond too. It had never been that way with her before, she had grown up with family and friends all around. Life had been pleasant and happy, now she was just confused and tired. How would she fit in with these wolves... would they even welcome her? Exhaling sharply she turned her gaze back towards him, her ears perking up to a more neutral position. She had forgotten about her uncle until this moment, he had to be nearby.
"My uncle lives too Yuki.. he'll be arriving shortly he's been with me since the slaughter..."
Without him she would have died.. Recca was sure of it. She had been so depressed and lost she barely even knew how to hunt or take care of herself. Only with his guidance had she made it to her second year.

[glow=crimson,2,300]What I fear and what I've tried, Words I say and what I hide All the pain, I want it to end But I want it again [/glow]
Yukito nodded when she was unsure what rank to ask for, so far only Yahto had been sure of the one he wanted, the pale Alpha just happened to agree. In all honestly it hardly mattered just then what rank he granted her, the Anwe would accept her regardless. Naming her Alpha female when she was not his mate no matter how qualified she was perform either role did not seem right. A blind wolf could see she was as unsure about all of this as he was, they had changed yet deep down they were exactly the same. Beta was fitting as he knew her qualifications far better then he knew Yahto’s, trust aside. The others did not know him well, time not withstanding, and it was hard to get close to him now. Good wolves that they were he meant what he had said, he wanted nothing close to his heart again. Opening his mouth to ask if Beta would sit well with her she mentioned her uncle. Blinking he knew if one lived others could have but two finding their way here was too much.
“Aduro-san lives as well…I am thankful you too are not all that remains of your clan.”
The uncle had not been as encouraging as the father but he respected the other, another face from the past that would judge what he had become. Shame was not an emotion he enjoyed, shoving it aside he reminded himself he would do whatever was necessary to enact revenge or to survive. He stood here now because he had kept on fighting, he would stop when he was dead as well. Ears turned back towards the pack he had left, at least they had to good sense to not follow. The idea of turning snarling on his new pack assumed him in a very morbid way.
“He shall be welcomed when he returns to you. If you wish rank Beta is the highest I can offer you at the moment, we both know you are qualified.”
Looking away slightly he wondered if she would accepted Alpha and if he could truly offer it? The rank itself was his to do with as he pleased, that was without question. His heart…what was left was hardly something anything anyone would want to claim. Perhaps Tenshi had darker wings now but she was far purer then he was now, there was no cleaning up the blood he had spilled. Maybe in time he could become someone worth having not just obeying, he had little hope left.
“If you wish I will summon the others here or I can take you to them? The pack will evenly come after me, the yearling seems to have taken a shine to me. Strange duck that one but sweet, she reminds me of a bit of two yearlings I use to know.”
