Nails panted but knew he was almost there so he ignored the aches and burning mussels, sleep would make him all better. As carefully as a weary body could he laid Kali down, Meisha would likely curl up behind her away from the others so plenty of room was left there. First glance was reassuring, blood had sealed the wounds rather well. Scabs would be licked away to clean the wound but no chunks of anything was always a good start. Sighing softly he back away allowing one with less blurry vision to have a look, Spirits knew he saw little of use. Slipping inside he curled up along her tail, leaving room for Amaroq to take a spot along with Meisha. Closing his eyes he allowed his breathing to slow with his beating heart, food and drink would come when he felt he could walk again.

Nicodemus carefully padded into the den. She had stayed with the rest of the pack to feed on the kill, making sure that they took what they needed but now it was time for a good rest. She whined softly as she entered, Kali was lain upon the ground, looking deathly still. Nails was practically passed out on the den's floor. She huffed dismissively at him,
Don't you worry about the rest of us. Just get some rest, you'll need it.
She might of laughed if the situation was not so troublesome. Hunting took a lot of energy, for any wolf involved but having the emotional strain added as well as having to carry back his sister had clearly wiped out the male. She had cleaned herself off slightly after she had eaten, he pelt was whitish again but she would have to stop by the lake to finish her grooming later. For now she simple rolled her black pelted shoulders and padded to a spot near to the entrance. She would wait till everyone had returned to sleep herself.

Meisha had quietly followed her brother back towards the den, her worrying eyes keeping a close tab on her younger sister. She felt a bit calmer now that the other wolves had stepped in to take care of the situation. However she was still concerned for her sisters well being, and her heart ached when she thought of having to tell their mother about what had happened today. Amaka was a loving wolf and had raised all of her pups to be good wolves for the pack, she had been busy as of late with her newest litter and could not attend much of the group meetings and hunts. The three newest members of the pack needed her attention and protection until they were able to return to the family and continue pack life. She was excited to see her baby siblings but for now she would contend herself with waiting on that day. Silently she watched Nails lay his sister down on the den floor, before flopping down to rest as well. Her ears twitched idly as she saw Nic approach and also move to relax.
The black female moved closer silently, her body twitching with adrenaline that was not yet used. She hadn't been able to do much of the work on the hunt because of Kali getting injured. Pacing for a few moments the slender female watched the tree line for any more approaching pack members, her mind going a mile a minute as she continued to pace.

Slender paws moved along the unknown but clear trail the others had left to the den, at least to her sensitive nose. Ears shifted now and then as she walked, Lilith more or less walking beside her, Cheveyo trailing behind with a fine hunk of meat for Nails in his jaws. The others had fed, or could go to the kill themselves if they were hungry. The Delta would be too tried to walk so far so the were helping a bit, too much left a bloody trail right to the den they did not need. She herself was carrying a chunk for Kali or the Shy One, Lilith also had a respectable chunk for whoever cared to claim it. Walking slowly up the hill she could hear Nic’s voice so at least some of the pack had made it here. Walking up to the den she set her chunk of flesh down before turning and bowing her head, legs not in the mood to bend much right then,
“We thought Nails might care for a bite before sleep, or Kali when she wakes. It is not much but more can be fetched at your order Alpha.”
Sitting down out of the way she opted to keep watch for the others rather then curl up. In truth she was not all that sleepy but curling up that would change. The others would all be there soon and after any last orders were given sleep would come.

Lilith walked along beside Arashi chunks of cow in their mouths for pack would could not make it to the kill. Glancing back at Cheveyo she could see he was as tried as the rest of them but did not seem to notice, men. She felt for the guy but no one could save everyone all the time, not even that God humans called on. Following Arashi let the darker fae speak for them, her sing song voice was more pleasant then her moody silk just then. Curling up she kept her stare on the wolves but relaxed her form, hunt was over and everyone was tried. Her dark from was not as battered as some of the others but she would still need a nice nap after this day. Walking here, around, hunting, then walking here all added up.
“I think we are a bit late there Hon but I’m sure he’ll thank us later.”

Following the darker fae was easy, carrying a chunk of cow big enough to choke him was easy, not thinking while do it was not. It did not take long for them to get where they were going really, even tried a wolf could move. Arashi spook up first, friendly voice still as warm as ever. Lilith teased her fellow dark fae a bit but it sounded in good humor so he ignored it. Setting his piece down with the others the pale male risked a glance at Kali. She looked like she was sleeping, it brought some relief but he was still worried sick. Chided by Lilith he had stomached some of the kill after speaking with Ula but he had only done it because he knew he needed food. Sitting down near the food he glanced down at it wondering if Nails would even be able to get anything down even if he was awake? He had a sister, they were separated now but she looked enough like Kali it was not hard to picture her in this mess. Sighing softly he waited for orders, likely just to relax now that they were home.

Nails chuckled softly at Nic in spite of himself, with Kali hurt it was up to him to cheer everyone up, a tall order just then. His nose alerted him to the others before they spook, Arashi’s sing song words, Lilith’s softly accented silk, Cheveyo said nothing. Opening his eyes he smiled at them touched by their thoughtfulness.
“Almost but not quite my dear, Cheveyo the middle sized chunk if you would?” The pale wolf nodded tossing him the piece Lilith had carried still without a word, not a surprise from what he knew of him. Eating quickly he sighed feeling a little bit better with something but worry in the pit of his stomach. Lowering his head he curled back up against his sister ready to sleep now that he knew everything was as alright as it could be. “mmm…ank you…”

White zeniths flicked around to the approach of the rest of the pack. They had brought back several chunks of the kills for Nails and Kali; thoughtful of them. She herself, admittedly, had not thought of it, the idea of bringing large portions back to the den was a little strange to her unless pups were involved. And while Kali was young she would not be classed as a pup. Nic smiled gently at the group before masking her face again. She didn't like to show other what she was truly feeling and right now her nerves were frazzled and worry was eating her up inside; her face however showed a calm and almost detached manner. She carefully watched the pack members, looking for any other injuries, though they would not be nearly as severed as Kali's they would still need to be addressed. Only the foolish did not acknowledge a wound, no matter how small. An infection is an infection and can kill just as quick in a small cut as a large one.
Satisfied that there would be no incidents she yawned. Stretching her frame out to it's full length before giving herself a quick shake and curling back up. She placed her head along the side of her legs, tail curled around her hind. She kept her orbs open though. Not everyone was drifting into sleep as she had expected and again, a few were missing. She would wait to close her hazel orbs till all had settled.

I wanted to fall asleep, but I couldn't. Pain is all I felt. I failed, I failed my family and over all my brother. I didn't want to move as I was laid down upon the bedding which was made for me, I whimpered sharply. A new bath of the pain shot threw my entire body, my ears laid back slightly as if confused and in pain. I laid there, the rock didn't really help much, but made everything worse. My voice which was shaky was drawn out. " I'm sorry " My voice weak and low as I laid there. I looked quickly towards Cheveyo and everyone else. I would smile if I could. But fear crept into my mind. What happened if I cant get up tomorrow morning? What happens if I feel asleep and never woke?
I shivered quickly, as I began to whimper once more. I wanted these thoughts away from my mind. I didn't want nothing to make me think of the worst out come which could happen. I tried to move my leg, but whimpered and let it fall to a stillness. I failed everyone of Zilar Heights and now I hated myself. But I didn't know of any dangers before this. Would this change me for the worst? Or make me a better wolf if I came out of this alive. But for now, my sides lifted and fell with shallow breaths as I slept. Nightmares of the event flooded my mind, and I shook them quickly, growling and snapping my jaws as I slept, even though I was in pain.

Arashi smiled at Nails when he rose enough to get a little food down. Falling asleep even as he thanked them. She knew the grey male had not been harmed in the hunt but that was still his sister’s blood drying on his back. He could do nothing more for her so he left her to the others to look after, wise since he could not even speak two whole sentences. Green stare turned to Cheveyo, the pale male looked like he had been kicked in the chest. Shaking her head sadly she was not sure if any kid words would mean much right then. Armaoq and Ula would likely also only respond with the popper polite response if addressed right then as well. The dark fae was not use to sorrow she could do little to ease, lose could at least be mourned. It was the not knowing that hurt so much, powerless in the face of Death as all were only made it worst. Sighing softly she glanced at Lilith who was still watching the pack from where she had curled her dark from on the ground. Nic was also considering trying to sleep in the near future, not a unwise decision since the pack need sleep above all else just then. Walking up to Cheveyo she rubbed her cheek against his shoulder giving him a reassuring smile when he turned to look at her.
“If you pass out on her she’ll only make herself worrying, you did all you can now sleep hm.”
Moving slowly away she curled up as the others were starting to, dark stare looking each over before dark lids fell. As hard as it could be sometimes one had to do nothing, now was one of those times. Slowing her breathing she allowed her body and mind to slowly stop working so hard, there was nothing else she could do.

Lilith smirked at Nails when he showed a bit of good humor, the guy was tougher then he appeared to be that was for sure. Murmuring a thank you he went still, poor guy needed sleep and he had it at least. Arashi drew her attention when she tried to comfort Cheveyo up a bit. The black fae chided the white male gently, smile like a mothers assuring a cub everything would be alright. It was very sweet really, she had no doubt the other would be wonderful with cubs, herself she had no idea. After leaving her birth pack she had never considered becoming a mother. It was not such a horrid idea now that she thought of it, well not with the right male anyway. Yawning softly she frowned at the white male, his bloodied half there appearance would be enough to worry the kid.
“Listen Hon at least lay down if you don’t want to sleep like the rest of us. You don’t need to clunk your head, or land on one of us when you pass out later now do you? The kid is tough so have a little faith, you are useless drained, she wouldn’t want that.”
Pale gold turned from her to Kali and she closed her eyes feeling for the guy and the kid, they were probably adorable playing together. Shaking her head she closed her eyes resting her head on her crossed limbs. He dark fae was not sleepy just then but if everyone else curled up she might as well, her body could use a quite moment or two.

Cheveyo sighed softly not sure what he should be doing but feeling he had to do something, anything, right then. Nails was asleep now as well, too exhausted to stay awake any longer if he had wanted to. Nic was curled up clearly ready to try and sleep, Lilith as well. A warmth against his shoulder drew his attention to Arashi. The dark fae had been very kind since their meeting and she looked concerned, and not for Kali. She spoke softly with her pleasant voice, chiding him gently before reminding him of the truth. She had point, there was nothing left he could do but sleep, even if that was not what he wanted to do. Watching her walk away and curl up Lilith decided to speak. The other fae’s unique way teasing differed from Arashi’s but her point was the same. Sighing at her he nodded, sitting there was helping no one, no one needed him for the moment. Snatching the smallest chunk he set it down within easy snatching distance of Kali’s muzzle. Her whimpers froze him for a moment before he turned away from her and curled up facing the path they had taken to get here. Asleep or not he was a fine road block and was in no mood for strangers just then. Closing pale eyes he buried his face under his fluffy tail, trying hard not to think of Kali or his sister anymore.
