Nails panted stepping back not about to get kick by a dying kick and add to everyone’s worry and stress. Turning he saw Amaroq and Cheveyo had both made it thorough alright, if standing up straight was anything to go by. Wet red blood showed up so much better on the pale coat then on his brothers but he did not see anything mats or smears that looked like wounds. Cheveyo just stood there panting, blood dripping from his jaws, eyes locked on the cow’s burning with hate. The grey male understood but wished the cow only an end, she had not hurt Kali to be cruel any more then they had chosen her to die. He was also aware if Kali died or was seriously injured his feelings would change accordingly. He was her big brother and she was dear to him as she was to the rest of the pack.
Turning form the dying beast he smiled a little when he saw Meisha already at Kali’s side, she had hardly been needed during the hunt so she did what any sister would. The brothers and Klai’s old friends had no choice, the cow had to die or others would be at risk and Kali would have been hurt for nothing. Walking up to his sisters he nuzzled Meisha thankful she was unharmed if not unfazed by what had happed.
“Thank you Sister.”
Lowering his bloodied head he nuzzled his paler sister thankful she was still alive, for how long would take some time to figure out. Letting her know no one was mad at her was all that mattered to him just then, if she was dying then she would die knowing she had been loved. No fate could be better in his mind then that, not that a happy death was what he wished to see here. The cow had passed so that they might live, he wanted all the pack to outlive her by years not heartbeats.

Lilith tore away sneering as the cow dropped, the last blows bring her down fully to bleed out before them. Licking blood from her mouth the dark wolf moved to check on the others, she knew one was hurt the others she was not sure about. She noted the shy fae was with Kali already, one less hunter had made no more difference then two less. Nails and Amaroq would be seeing to their sister as brothers and ranked wolves. Arashi nodded slightly to her but seemed to only give everyone a quick once over before sitting down out of the way. The dark fae was in no mood to intrude on the family moment if the pale female was dying, or if she was fine. Lilith was in no mood to be in the way either so she came and sat down next to her, brown contrasting with black. Glancing over her shoulder at Cheveyo she gave him a little sympathetic look but not a smile. She’d smile if the kid pulled through not before, there was little reason to.

Cheveyo let go when the cow went down, spiting his mouthful of gore into her face before standing out of her reach just breathing, glaring, and dripping. Kali had been the first fae to treat him as one of them, Arashi he had seen very little of but she had been kind. There was little doubt he had secured the worth he had been looking for but it made him sick Kali had been hurt doing it. Her injuries were not his fault, accident happened to everyone, but he had not been able to stop it. Keeping her from a third possibly fatal hit was all well and good but a little voice kept saying he should have been able to stop their first. The brothers likely felt the same way, Amaroq had to be feeling the quilt of a leader and a bother unable to protect his pack and sister. It was not the dark Alpah’s fault, he could not keep Kali from hunting forever, as much as he might wish to. The pack moved behind him, family reuniting, others on hand but out of the way, no one saying much. Turning from lifeless eyes he caught Lilith’s eye and she nodded a little, face saying she understood perfectly. Nodding back he turned from her and to the family, something he found himself missing terribly just then. Closing his eyes he hung his head, failed or not he felt like one and would until he knew Kali would be alright.
Moving to join the pack he sat down beside Lilith, the dark fae seemed to get him and Arashi had a warm smile. Looking down at bloodied paws he sighed, at least the cow was down and there would be food for everyone. Failing twice in one day would not have sat well with anyone. All he could do now was sit a wait to see if they would be losing one of their own, to see if he had failed his new friend when she needed him most. “I’m sorry…”

I watched the cow finally fall over, letting her lif source slip from her own body. My ebony frame moving over to the small gathering, I looked to Kali, then Meisha and Nails. I known that Amaroq would be over here shortly. I nuzzled my cheek against Nails and Meisha. My muzzle dripped of the fresh kills blood, My own paw little little marks of blood as I turned to look towards Lilith and Cheveyo. A nod was given to the pale male. And I just went around to the side of Kali, lowering down. I soon licked the blood from my jaw before I gave Kali a ever so gentle licks upon her spinal region. I watched her sides rise up and down slowly, but didn't know if she would rise again, and that made me snarl slightly. As I spoke towards Meisha and Nails. " We know Kali. We know with her spirit she will pull threw. "
I spoke in a low whisper, as I laid there. Light almost something that you couldn't hear of a whimper was given forth. After a few minutes, I rose up and padded away from the ivory Kali and walked carefully over on the same side as I was near her spine and walked away slightly. She was still in veiw, I ploped down and laid my cranium down upon my front limbs. My ears flickered. It was useless I couldn't lay here and do nothing, I honestly couldn't. It was driving me insane inside. This caused me to let my ivories be shown as I rose up, and left my haunches lower to the ground. As Cheveyos words of sorry hit my ears, I rose up once again and padded over towards him, sitting down once more. " You did good, everyone did good with todays hunt. " Which in all honesty they did, I was happy that the pack would feed, but that was the very last thing that I thought about. I thought about how bad the pack would turn if the joyful little fea left her own spirit free. I shook the thought from my head, she wasn't one to give up too easy. That we all knew of.

I listened to Cheveyo as he told me to stay. Whimpers left my maw, whimpers that held pain. He told me to stay and thats what I would do. My mind racing a hundred and ten different places all at once. I seen horror and fear in some eyes as they looked towards me, I was scared. Fearful to say the least. But I wasn't one to give up. I was a fighter, I mean after all I did have the alpha blood running threw me. My ears flicked back as I watched everyone attacking as a team. Soon enough the damned cow would fall. Eveyone known this. I watched my older brother Amaroq lunge to the underbelly of the cow as whimpers left me once again, only to stop when he was finished. Seeing that nothing happened to him at all. I watched Ula tear into the cow, as Lilith took what was a already open wound.
I listened to everyone speaking. And then I felt little nuzzles, I left my head rise a little and licked at Meisha's nuzzles. As I watched Cheveyo wander off to let my family near me, little whimpers began to excape once again. Nails came up and I heard him talk to her, I seen the red splotches upon his cranium, as I licked at his muzzle as well. I kept telling myself that I would pull threw, and show them that I was ready to do it again, even though it may take a little bit. I soon felt the ebony female Ula come up near my spinal and gently nuzzle as well. My sides rising and lowering well for what had just happened, my chest throbbed in pain as well as my shoulder from those damn horns of the cow. But I would show them all that
I would be alright, and be ready when it was time to hunt the next time. Well not the text time if I am not healed at all, but the hunt after the next one. Oh god, I hoped I would be able too. I looked towards Amaroq, and deep throaty whimpers left me.

Pale formed fem growled as the cow finally fell. All the better as the pack watched it die for a moment. Quickly everyone turned in Kali's direction. She could see worry and pain etched clearly upon her family member's faces and even those unrelated who were of new acquaintance. She herself decided to let the family tend to her. They didn't need her assistance nor would it be of any real help but she stayed close to everyone. She remained standing, too wried about the newly finished hunt and Kali's injuries to sit or lay down. Resting would come later.
She padded over where Arashi, Lilth and Cheveyo were waiting Ula had come over as well and commended Cheveyo for his efforts. It was nice to see them getting along since they seamed to clash when they met. She gave a strained smile in agreement,
Nice reflexes out there. You may have just saved her life.
She voiced softly. She didn't talk to males she didn't know well very often, and though she didn't fully trust him yet herself, just an unfortunate quirk of hers; nothing personal, she knew he was a trustworthy pack-member. Nic's attention flicked towards the yearling again as Kali's pained whimpering filled the air, the kill was forgotten for the time being as all watched and waited.

The black titan stood breathing in sweet oxygen, trying to get his breathing back in control. Only moments before did the bison fall, her death witnessed by the pack. Amaroq was not angry at the cow she only did what she thought was right to defend her own life. It was nature. Reguardless of the fact that his sister was hurt in the battle, it had happened countless times before and would happen again. Hunting had it's own set of risks, and one took on those risks when they wished to provide food for their family. Inhaling sharply the large male turned his attention towards the pack, the new wolves had moved clear of the family and the hurt yearling. He walked forward slowly, his eyes and ears on the prone form of his sister, she was hurt badly. It scared him, not that he'd admit it out right to anyone. Walking past the new wolves and Nic, the Alpha paused for a moment to look them over. He saw the haunted gleam in Cheveyo's eyes and he gave the white male a sad smile. Hearing his whispered apology---Amaroq shook his head.
"You have no need to be sorry, you saved her life Cheveyo. These things happen all the time, and hopefully the great spirit will allow Kali to recover fully. She is strong and will not easily give up her life. I've made my decision however you, Lilith and Arashi are now full members of this pack. You will not be made to leave, other than by your own decision."
He gave a brief affectionate nudge to his gamma female, Nic, before he walked over to where his family stood hovering over the fallen yearling. Amaroq stopped before the injured wolf his gold eyes shining with sadness, the wounds were serious and he figured infection would be the bigger worry. If she did not keep clean and dry then she would get an infection that could kill her. Silently he gave Meisha comfort, his muzzle brushing her neck and shoulder, he did the same to Nails knowing the male was grieving for their sister. Finally, he turned his attention on Kali, he whined softly---bowing his head to gently nuzzle her his tongue running across her face in soft sweeps.
"We need to get her home, probably to one of the dens so she can rest in a dry place. The bison isn't going anywhere.. after we get her situated we can come back and eat, bring food home for the rest of the pack."
Amaroq straightened finally, trying to regain some symbol of control over his surroundings, it was not easy.

Meisha had stood guard over her wounded sister while the hunt came to it's violent conclusion. She barely paid it any mind her worry was on her sister who lay before her. Her eyes took in the blood that slowly dripped and ran along the ground. A sense of panic gripped the slender black female but she swallowed it for the moment. She had to be strong for once, her sister needed her to be strong. Finally, she heard the approach of another and saw her brother Nails approach the two of them. Her eyes closed a soft whine escaping her as he nuzzled her, and she returned the affection in turn. The she wolf watched her brother as he looked over their sister, she saw the worry there too. She took a moment to look around, seeing the new wolves along with Nic and Ula a short distance away. It was clear that the male Cheveyo was pained by the injuries on their sister, and she felt that pain too. Kali was so young to be so hurt.. it wasn't fair.
Her ears flickered silently as she watched her Alpha brother speaking to the group before making his way over to them. Meisha again accepted his affection, and she backed away to let the leader get a better look at the wounded yearling. She listened to his words and nodded in silent agreement, indeed Kali needed to be somewhere safe and secure. A place that was dry and did not have the threat of a bear approach.

Nails turned his attention back to the back when Nic spoke, she may not be ready to fully accepted Chevehyo but she took her first step. Ula’s simple praise may have been longer but was no less welcoming to his ears. It had been clear as the sun on a clear day her first words to the male had irked him greatly. Her words now were her way of apologizing almost, she was not one to say I am sorry in public. Neither female were easily won over by a pretty face but his clear concern for Kali as something more then a possible breeding partner went over well. Smiling in relief the pack was at last feeling like one with these new wolves he turned his head when his brother spoke. Comforting words were offered to Cheveyo, he had a feeling until Kali was well again they would remain simply words. Naming the three new wolves as true pack now the act was complete, three new wolves had joined the family. When Amaroq spoke of moving out he could not agree more.
“I probably have the most energy of the three of us so leave the heavy lifting to me brother.”
Grey from dipped so Kali could be as carefully as possibly placed on his back so he could carry her back to the den site. It was not something one did normally but she was light enough he would be able to get her there without having to drag her like prey. Watching humans was not always such a bad thing, though being seen by them was.
“Ula we are going to take Kali to the den and see to her, you and Nic can see to the others while we are gone. See they eat at least a little, and see you both do as well alright?”
Giving Ula a little nudge he nodded to Nic before slowly heading away from the pack, likely he would collapse from fatigue and worry once Kali was safe. Keeping up with pups kept his stamina up but stress took it’s tool and he was not about to fight it.
