I glanced at the rest once more, before my brother spoke, I slinked my body around towards Nicodemus, following her carefully. I got on the right side of Nic as I watched that of Arashi come up to the same side of me and Nic. A smile crossed my muzzle as I soon turned my attention towards the herd. I then quickly looked towards the others who was also taking their places. I nudged Nic quickly and then looked towards Arashi for the last time before my attention was drawn to my older brother and alpha Amaroq. Fear flashed quickly as I shock my head, and closed my visionaires. Now was the time that I rolled my shoulders as I seen the few others do, it was as if I felt my muscles relax more. My blood pulsed, as I blocked out the pounding in my ears, and watched that of the injured female bision, it stumbled here and there but not too much.
But I known that it was still strong and powerful, but those weakness's would help the pack out. My ears twisted back slightly, still able to hear when my brother would give the signal to charge and start.

My eyes caught the attention as I watched Kali roll in the dirt and leaves and twigs. Hiding some of her coloring and scent. I didn't have to do that as I watched Kali and her group head to the oppisate side of me. As I gave a big birth and came towards the other side, blending quiet well in the shadows of the forest. I watched the herd with a close eye as I soon caught Liliths scent, as she was here near me. I hunkered down rolling my shoulders, as tension rolled off them quickly, my mouth dry, but suddenly salivated, My ebony pelt hid me quiet well, a grin was given forth, as I lifted my head and caught Amaroq's figure within my visionaires.
Watching and waitting for the que to go. Oh this would be such fun, I known Kali would be safe with the other females as I waited, thats all that was able to be done right now. And that is what I would do, watching Amaroq and the herd with full attention. My muscles twitched every now and then, but that was the only real thing that moved upon my body. As I crouched there silently.

She like all the others listened intently to the words that spilled out of her brothers mouth. The pack began to situate themselves around like they were told. Meisha was no different, she did as she was told. Making sure she kept to the shadows as she crouched down near the other two females. Before her the large herd of bison went about their business, unaware of the predators that now stalked them. Silently she turned her attention on the injured cow, and smiled almost in a sad way. This bison was doomed either way... she would not survive the winter with a busted leg. In a sense the pack was doing her a favor.. Starving to death was worse at least it seemed that way. This was one of the few times in which Meisha did not act like a omega, her thoughts were on food and that was all. Her body trembled with adrenaline as she waited for her brothers charge.

It only took the pack a few moments to split up and find a good place to wait. Having the herd surrounded the wolves waited anxiously for the signal to start the hunt. Amaroq remained poised with his brother by him and Cheveyo there as well. Breathing deeply and quietly the large black wolf waited for the right moment. When the lame cow was left behind by her herd, the ungulates continued to graze and slowly moved away from her. She tried to keep up but it was obviously painful for her, her cries reaching his ears. With a harsh sounding bark, which was the signal the black male bolted from his hiding place. The other two males would follow him and the females would come in on either side, effectively trapping the bison with their teeth. His paws raced through the grass feeling almost as though he did not touch it as he raced. It only took a moment for the bison cow to realize what was happening and she tried in vain to run, her front leg with useless however. She didn't get far before he was upon her, teeth bared as he tried to keep her from moving to either side. It was hard to keep her there long enough for the others to move in and start attacking.
His blood pumped hard in his veins as he watched the cow, blood lust already starting to take over his mind. The urge to feed was strong and fresh meat would do them all some good..

Nicodemus felt the other fems come up around her. Kali nudged her softly and she responded with a reassuring smile, but she quickly turned her attention back to the herd and Amaroq. Her mouth watered as she watched the injured cow. Her bleating sounded as a calf abandoned by it's mother, though she was no doubt full grown. The sound awoke the savage feeling in her belly. If she could she would be kneading the ground with her claws like that of a cat, readying herself for the chase.
Soon enough, though it seamed like forever she heard the quick bark that was to signal them. The herd would likely of heard that and would instantly be put on edge. As she saw the males begin their attack she quickly went to her charge, her muscled body taking her to their query quickly. The herd was running now, but the pack's target couldn't possibly keep up, she would be cornered in no time. Nic took her spot on the side of the cow, keeping her from having an escape rout to the side. The pale fem would be hazing the cow from the side as would others at times, attacking and biting at others.. Her zeniths listened for others but her orbs were focused on only their prey. [/color]

I heard the cow cry out in pain. Such a sad thing to see in front of you. But she would feed the pack well. And then my brother's call hit my ears, as I didn't know what to do. Looking quickly at everyone on my side, I lunged out of the brush. The cow didn't notice me yet, but when she did I was almost right upon her. And I didn't honestly realize how close I actually was. I got a bite, before I left go from her throwing her neck around, and I flew off. Rising up quickly, the taste of blood made me want more. And also did a very dangerous thing, it made me blind from the dangerous but injured cow. I darted towards her. By the time I reached her, she lowered her head.
I noticed those horns, but didn't think they could get too me. I was too anxious and excited to think other wise. The cow stomped at me as I raced up to her, and then I felt sharp pain slice threw my body. As flesh was tore open. I whelped out in pain quickly. My ears laced back. I didn't know what would happen now. I was in danger of the cow now. As she focused on me. She backed up ever so slowly, and I stood there, teeth bared. Ears tightly laced back. But I felt as if the earth might crumble under me and swallow me whole. Pain shot threw me as the cow came straight towards me once again, I tried to move, but couldn't really. Pain shot threw my whole body, specially the open wound upon my shoulder which was smaller than the chest one. My jaws snapping open and close over and over.

Pale eyes closed for a moment as the warrior focused on the calm right before the chaos of the hunt began, time seemed like an after thought just then. A harsh bark got a pale from flying threw the air before eyes even open. Head turned as large paws carrier him forward, white from inescapable to the cow who now saw her fate unfolding. Teeth bared and gnashed at the larger beast, wanting her attention on him rather then one of the lighter females. A horn or hoof was hardly less fatal to him but fear messed with aim, regardless it was who he was. What did not kill him made him all the stronger and better at his chosen path, protector, phantom of death to those who threaten what he fought for. The darker brothers worked well together, it was clear the Delta did not sit out every pack hunt. Wetting teeth on a painful but hardly fatal hit Cheveyo darted back to avoid the cow’s horns. Pale eyes caught sight of Kali sinking a hit while the cow focused on her brothers, not fatal but not bad fro a yearling really. Her next move was not so smart but he could not stop it, he was only so fast. Horn raked the yearling chest, then shoulder, pain and chock freezing the yearling in place.
“KALI!”
Surging forward the pale brute slowed in time to knock her side without putting all his weight behind the blow, teeth raking the cow’s nose as she missed the yearling. Glancing down at Kali he nudging her back to her feet ignoring the screaming around him. Getting a good look at the wounds he snarled, eyes pale furry and hate. He had been annoyed before now he was pissed off and that meant something was going to be hurting and bad. Turning back to Kali he nudged her unharmed shoulder to her full attention on him, she would hunt again if she stayed back now.
“Stay back alright? No one wants you hurt any more.”
Gentle face turned back to a mask of rage as the pale brute returned to the fray, teeth tearing into any hold they could get. The cow could bleed slowly to death for all he cared she would not get near the yearling again. Let the cow see her blood on their teeth and know her death could have been so less painful had she only gone after an adult and not one of their children.

Orders were given shortly after everyone took their spots. I seen Amaroq make the first move, and then Nic as well as Kali. I watched as I ran, a sharp rock sliced a small slice upon my paw pad as I ran, ignoring the little irritating pain that entered my paw. Soon I also was upon the cow, my jaws locked, as teeth shreaded the flesh open. The painful cry was heard threw the lands, as I soon dropped down, watching as Kali was almost gored, horror filled my eyes. The cows blood now within my mouth, I let go, and growled deeply, lunging once again. I grabbed hold, only to leave the gash open more, sharp canines tearing into the flesh. Leaving go once again, I grabbed ahold of one of the legs. The cow cried out more as everyone began their attack. It was dangerous, but needed to be done to feed a large pack such as Zilar Heights. I only left go, leaving the wound bleed out, lickiing my chops for a few moments, I joined Lilith with her attacking, my ears laced back as I did this. I had to give it to the girl she was good at hunting.
Cheveyo's command to Kali made me feel a little releaved to know that she wouldn't be harmed any longer, anger grew deeper and more with each moment. I wanted the cow dead now. But it wouldn't happen like that, even though we were good in numbers, even though the cow was injured she had much spirit. And I managed to dodge the cow as she swung her head around quickly. Growling deeply I grabbed ahold of her snout. Not my favoriate place, but it would help dearly, with the others attacking, she would be held onto me as jaws locked, blood filling my mouth from the cow. Soon, soon enough she would fall down and die quicker than what her fate would have wanted if we did not pick her.

Nails had been a second or so behind Cheveyo as he too broke into the cow’s field of vision, one more set of teeth to fear. Waiting for his opening he took but a moment, he was too calm to charge in and risk injury. Catching sight of the white male he noted he was doing a fine job, working off some stress, dodging when the horns got too close to his pale coat. Kali was not as calm or experience and he heard her cry but could not see her past the cow’s bulk. Cheveyo cried out and he hoped from lack of further cries he had gotten Kali out of harms way. Shock had killed a few wolves as the stories went, a hit in the right place and you just froze. A seemingly endless moment of uncertain worry ended with the sound of rage, Kali was hurt but hurts could heal.
Blood began to slick grass as pack reacted to the harming of one of their own, rage drawing more savage attcks then some might normally deliver. Glancing towards Ula she was taking none of the cow’s defiance anymore. Lilith moved in to place her teeth in the wounds Ula had made in the cow’s leg, clamped she began jerking her head aiming for tendons and vessels below the flesh. Jerking as bad as the cow was it was hard to keep hold for long without risk of serious injury. Ula was a fisty one to be sure, Lilith no better just newer. Lunging he bit down on the front of her shoulder careful of her thick neck, he had more weight then Ula. One good hit near something vital made it easier for the next wolf to get in deep enough to really hurt her.

Arashi leapt as graceful as a deer into the fray, from not as imposing as a male’s but teeth just as sharp. Using her speed to nip at joints, working away at them pass by pass rather then holding still for too long as many did. Head turned when she heard the sounds of a packmate in pain before a name, the yearling! Forest akin stare found the white male speaking to the yearling for a moment before he turned, handsome face contorted by hate. Lunging back at the cow that weight and rage tore into the cow with anew vigor, the other’s taking their own vengeance where they could. Normally not a bitter wolf Arashi turned her normally gentle stare to her target, narrowed eyes cold. Opening her mouth to renew he attacks on thick limbs she paused to say one word, a word meaning only one thing to her. It meant die.

The brown hued bitch was having a blast tearing into wounds when Ula had to leg go or end up face planted on the ground. Laughing wickedly as she worked she frowned when she heard a wolf take a hit, not sure how bad from sound alone. The new guy cried out and she was sure did something that would endear the child to him like a puppy. A bleeding heart she was not but the kid was well a kid, that did not sit right with her. This was no longer about fun for her, this was about pay back, and honey pay back was a bitch.
Ignoring the cries around her she sunk her teeth back into the leg wound Ula had abounded to eat the cow’s face, literally it seemed. Teeth slipped into premade holes and she clamped and jerked, entire body swaying with her actions. She would rip the damn tendon out and then she would see if the cow could muster another wound to the pack. Penning up anger for times like this paid off more then once. It gave her the add force she needed to keep tearing when she really should let go and take a breath. Jerking back the matted she wolf spat out a mouth a saliva soaked gore panting for a moment. Anger made you stronger for a while but it made you pay later. Snorting blood from her nose the pissed wolf lunged to continue working on her chew toy called a leg.

Everything was happening so fast. The pack was quick at taking their places and starting in on hazing the cow. The bison was confused and afraid, not sure what to do, but the pack was strong and seamed to easily snare it around. Even Kali was doing very well for her first real hunt. Then it all went sideways. As Nic did her part to down the cow, her orbs seeing only the red of blood-lust, she heard a yelp. She froze for an instant, her optics saw an injured Kali about to be charged by the terrified cow. Suddenly the large male Cheveyo jumped to the yearling's rescue, pushing her out of harms way and keeping her out of it before he attacked with more vigor.
Quickly trying to regain herself, a deep, menacing snarl erupted in her throat. She lunged back into the fight. Attempting to disembowel the cow any way she could. The faster they downed the beast the better for all of them. She couldn't help but let the fear for the yearling seep through, it only helped to drive her anger at the blasted animal. The rest of the pack had the same notion. The blood of their own was spilled and the anger was pushing them all over the edge, sheer violence erupting from many of them. Since she was stationed near the beast's flank she continued attacking it's underbelly, ripping flesh open where she could. she hoped it would all be over soon, the sooner they tended to Kali's wounds the better it would be for her.

The chaos of a hunt was always something he secretly enjoyed, seeing the pack react to their surroundings to survive another day. It was enticing for the alpha male, his charge was first into the sound to be battle, rallying his troops for war. A war for survival, the other wolves came to life in the surrounding darkness and they began the millenia old dance of death. Each hunter was aware that any moment they could give their life, should the prey land a solid hit to a vital region. His own uncle had died that way when he was but a yearling himself, the male wolf had taken a strong kick to his jaw. The sad part of it was he lasted for weeks with that broken jaw slowly wasting away into a sack of bones. Amaroq hoped that no tragedy would afflict his pack this night, not when they were just coming together. He landed a few good bites and dodged when he needed to, his body tensed up as he heard the shrill cry of Kali his younger sister. Moments later he heard Cheveyo's voice telling her to stay away.
His heart slammed around in its cage, gold eyes filled with worry and bloodlust. He was proud of them all for sticking together and making this work. Spinning around he did a lap around the bison female and charged her, his aim was her shoulder, he wanted to drag her down. Get this over with. picked up the attacks and he did the same, darting underneath the cows mid section to try and rip open her guts. The sooner they ended this hunt the better, his sister could be dying for all he knew. Breathing hard the black beast continued to dart in and out from under her belly, as alpha he was keenly aware of who did what and frankly he was proud of them all..
A harsh sound escaped the cow as she felt her life force slowly draining away. It would only take a few more hits to bring her down and then they can all feast. Even though he felt triumph for the hunt he was also worried for his sister, would she be okay? Or had he failed her as a brother and leader...

Meisha naturally hung back for a moment, her omega personality making her nervous as all the others darted towards the intended victim. Though she managed to shake herself out of just standing there and the slender black female ran forward, her intelligent eyes watching the other pack members, so she knew where would be a good place to deliver a hit. Before she even started attacking she heard the shrill yelp of someone being hurt, it sounded like her sister. Panic filled the female and she broke away from the fight to approach Kali where she now laid. Her nose quivered delicately as she saw and smelled the blood that was not bison. A whine escaped her, it was a sad sound. Keeping close to her sibling she stood guard over the pale female, hoping that her presense made her sister feel a wee bit better. Nudging her softly she tried to not get to worried.
"You'll be okay Kali.. just try not to move much okay.."
She murmured soothingly in her ear... for once her omega personality was forgotten. Meisha was acting now like a concerned older sister.. not the packs scapegoat.

Arashi stepped back as the cow fell, her job done, she had not failed yet she felt little real joy at that moment. Turning her dark eyes she caught sight of Cheveyo stepping away from the cow, snow white coat matted, eyes cold. He stood there glaring at the cow as she finished dying, hate all but rising from like fog from a lake. She did not blame him at all, the yearling was kind and clearly had made an impression on the male. The entire pack was protective of its own and they were officially pack now, they had spilled blood together. Looking her self over to make sure she had not gotten any scrapes or the like that needed cleaned the dark fae walked around the beast to group up with the others. Keeping out of the family’s and close friend’s way she sat down and watched with a sad smile. The yearling would live hopefully but the pack would be shadows of themselves until she was sure to pull through. Thankfully there was enough to see to their bellies if nothing else was eased this day.
