Paws out stretched before me, as I laid there silently. I was the female alpha here, a lazy yawn was released from me, before I rose up and moved around a bit. Checking the boarders for a good few hours helped everything, as well as marking the territory I now called home. My sister was off checking the far end boarders as well. I known this cause I could smell her upon the winds. The land was beautiful, late summer flowers seemed to bloom every where, the patch of a meadow was in the middle of the lands, which was one of our main meeting areas and hunting as well. But here I stood in the shadows of the small forest, it was a beautiful area. I couldn't lie. I was actually happy with me and my sisters pick. It was everything we would ever want. I left a strong howl that would let others know that these lands held a alpha female now. And my scent markers also let them know. I did alot so far, I noticed a few coyotes that dared to come closer to me.
I just flashed them a quick growl and then ran off. They are the only thing I didn't really enjoy in my shadows. But oh well, we had to live with it here. I smiled as I padded around the boarders, smiling, as a light pant started rising and lowering my sides. Leaves started to change in the late summer months, turning them to oranges, reds, yellows, and even reddish brown pigments. Weird but wonderful.

Nares flared at the scent of coyote, malachite stare turned when one moved out of the shadows eyeing him but slinking away. Teeth bared the large grey male let the smaller canine go having no reason to chase the other off when they were happy to leave him be. Slashed muzzle stung a bit but he ignored it as he looked around this land he had wandered into. The scent of female wolves drew is curious attention, no mater what else he was he was still a male. Sniffing he noted two related scents, fresh to this area , no other wolf males around. Frowning he tilted his head thinking about that, normally lone females attracted more male attention. Shrugging he walked along the invisible border sniffing now and then testing fro prey and other canines wolf or otherwise. Looks along did not mark him as different but his scent sure did, one whiff and even a cub would know he was not a wolf. Sighing softly he was so tried of wolves and their superiority complexes. He could fight just as hard, hunt just as well, perhaps better with his human training then they could.
Large paws paused as he stood still and sniffed the shifting winds eyes closing. The forest smelled of pine, trees soon to lose their green, prey, and few wolves. A land with few to judge him sounded just fine by him, he was worth more then most cared to see. Given a chance he would prove just what he was worth, face with a fight he would show how much pain he was willing to bare. He would never bow to those who looked down on him, never again.

Different scents caught my attention. From the pines towering many feet into the skies, elms and every other tree. I was coming up closer as a tan pelt caught my attention. A sharp snarl was given forth, filth appendage danced around behind me. Eyes scanned the boarders before me, soon enough two scents mixed into one caught my attention. I was weary that is for sure, but I shook my head, my body pulling me on ward. Soon the sight of a large wolf came into veiw. The scent drifted off of him, like the ocean salt did with the ocean. You could smell it, thick in the air. He was different. Mixed not with full wolf, but dog as well. But he was canine all the least. I moved out from the shadows announcing my approach. " Hello. I am Calla the Alpha here within Hotah Forest. Please, do not fear me. For as you will notice I am not like most that will turn their cheek the other way. "
' Hope he knows I mean no harm to him. ' I thought to myself. As I lowered down upon the grounds, my head held high just like it always was. " Damn coyotes are pests here. " I chuckled softly. As I tilted my dial just slightly. ' He probably think's Im insane. ' I couldn't help but to laugh once more, as I stood up. And spoke once again. " If you wish to join my pack I need to know what to call you male. " A smile crossed my muzzle as I watching for anything to happen, if he would try to lunge me and attack or even kill me. He didn't seem like that type of masculine though.
His scent made me wince just a little bit, but I mostly ignored it. I was not going to be known as a hard wolf like the pack in Zilar Heights or the other forest pack. No I was more gentle then them both. My coat shimmered under the patch of moon light which shown threw the thickened trees. " Please, come on in. We don't fully know what lurk in the night time, seeing that its dusk out and me and Mistery my sister is kinda new here. " I rose up and padded a little away from the boarders. My ears flickered as a owl flew over and threw the forest, hunting probably for her hatchling.

Ear turned at a growl not directed at him from the sound of it, too far away to be an effective means of intimating him. Opening his eyes he turned his head, four scars clearly visible as he eyed the female who approached him. Darker grey over lighter basecoat was a darker contrast to his own basic coloring, eyes a bit like the cats his masters had once had, scent pure. Her demeanor was not as cautious as most lone females was when approaching an unknown male. Her voice was pleasant, not trying to lord over him or chase him off. Watching her come to stop he tilted his head at her weighing her words and reaction to him against past meetings. He had no reference for such a welcome but he had no real doubt he could get away from her if she proved a threat in the end. At her mention of coyote he shrugged not overly concerned but he was larger and his odd scent made them nervous more often then not.
“I just chase them off or kill them if necessary.”
Kura did not enjoy killing his smaller cousins but if they pushed him he tore them apart, he did not take being pushed well. Being invited in he hesitate but walked slowly into the land called Hotah Forest, no other wolves came forward so he relaxed a little. Asking for his name he turned his attention back to the Alphaess who seemed concerned about him. He was not sure if it was his healing wounds clearly inflicted in a fight or the coyote lurking around but he was not about to pry.
“Kura is fine Calla, my full name is rather long for everyday use.”
Truthfully his name was not that long but he was not so formal as to demand his clan name be used by this stranger. He had never met his father so really is was just a second part to his name, living storm, fitting but not necessary. When she spoke of being new here he frowned in though, coyotes were an annoyance but he had not noticed anything else about. Mentioning a sister made him think of his own for a moment but he was not surprised to hear their were two kin here.
“Coyote are not much a threat unless they come in large numbers, besides I use to face off against stray dogs and they tended to be larger and meaner up north. Does your sister not mined wolf dogs or is this something unique to you? I am in no mood to justify my right to exist again, these new scars was from my last such conversation. I made a much more painful point, unfortunately wolves do not always know when to end a conversation.”

Most of her life had been filled with woe, from her earliest moments on life had been hard on her. Being born into slavery she and her brother managed to survive amongst the humans and their dogs. They were never liked and her only ally had been her mother, and that only lasted so long. Eventually the life she knew was destroyed when the humans decided to get rid of some of their dogs, the one's that weren't hunting well enough. Her mom was shot and she had fled with her brother. They never looked back, and never would either. They traveled from pack to pack trying to find acceptance but rarely ever getting any from the wolves. Eventually she had found a male wolf that was not afraid or hated her, and they became mates. It hurt watching her brother move on without her by his side, but she had a new life now. Samar was her world, and for a year and a half she loved him whole heartedly.
Earlier that year tragedy struck again, her mate went out hunting and never came home. Raziya had stayed at the den with her pups, and had to watch as the three weaker ones died from starvation. She eventually left and sought out food for herself and her two remaining offspring--- and they provailed. For a few weeks she did not find his body, but when she did she grieved long and hard for her beloved. Samar had been killed by another predator but what it was she was not quite sure. With the knowledge that he was gone, she decided to take her two pups and go off..
They traveled far and wide in search of a good home, but were turned away time and again for the blood that ran in their veins. Only a few days ago did she stumble into the lands of Minjdoka.. Now she was attempting to find a pack for her and her son's.. She decided on the smallest pack---they may take her in. The female approached the border with her two pups in toe behind her, cautious and scared like always. She scented the air and snorted softly, the scent of wolf made her nose tickle.
Hearing a conversation up ahead she followed it, and soon came across two lupines. Raziya watched them for a moment before it dawned on her that she knew that scent. A soft whine escaped her, and she stepped forward submissive and looking rather skinny and pathetic. It had been awhile since she had ate anything beside rabbit.. and it clearly showed.
"Brother.."
Came her whisper, before she looked at the Alpha wolf.. Hoping that she would be accepted into this land. Her two pups clung to her back legs cowering behind her in fear of their lives.

“Sister?”
Kura turned his attention from Calla and just blinked at his kin before noting her condition, she had looked much better last he had seen her. Turning from Calla he walked up to her nuzzling her looking even larger by comparison to her slenderer form. Stepping back he noted two the two cubs and smiled, fluffy tail wagging at the sight of them. Poor things looked frightened and he did not blame them, wolves could be very scary indeed.
“Do not be afraid little ones Calla here is an open minded Alpha, she will not harm you. Sister why are you not with the pack you chose? Has something happened to them? You look like a stray, do you want me to go kill you some rabbits or something?”
Tilting his head he fidgeted a little in worry like the big brother he was, wanting to do something to help. Turning to Calla the grey male knew she was not some monster and might know of a kill nearby or a good place to hunt so they could get the mother and cubs some food. Calla admitted to being new but that did not mean she did not know this land. He would get food for his family if he had to floor her to do it.

I stood there for a few moments, as I listened to him, a gentle nod was given forth. But not before long that of another was heard coming up towards the boarders. With two pups trailing right behind her. A smile crossed my maw, as I listened to them speak. That smile never left my maw as the females two sons played with their mothers tail. I noticed how skinny the other was. And dipped my cranium in a sign of respect. So they where sibilings? That's why they smelt so much alike. " Please come on in. The four of you. I do not care to see anything happen to the pups. I am Calla. " Grinning, I moved away from the boarders more and left them in tail. My ears flickered as the slight sound of dripping rain.
Looking back towards the female. " What is you're name dear? And welcome to Hotah Forest all of you. " I sat down for only a few moments. The tree's above us caught most of the drizzle. My eyes glancing once again to the two youth. A soft yip was given forth as a sign of greating. " If you's want, I have taken down a small deer. It may give yous the enegry you's need. " Sure I was new, but I already had the boarders marked and scented, and a kill from just earlier before my travels.
" My home is now your home. " Looking over the two pups and Kura and whom was his sister. " My sister is around here some where. Probably doing some boarder patrols as well. But please, lets get yous to the earlier kill. " That was my main goal now. To get them all something to eat. Awaitting responce.

Relief flooded through her as the Alpha-ess accepted them into her pack. She could take a breath now and relax a wee bit. With her acceptance the female turned to her two sons, both of whom looked much better than she herself did at the moment. She nuzzled them both and then pushed them out from under her where they had hidden themselves. Turning her attention towards her brother and the female wolf she padded closer to them. Her eyes were misty with various emotions but she would not allow herself to get to emotional. A quiet nudge was given to her brother, and she was okay. As long as she had him she was okay. His questions made her cringe and she backed away to speak to the two of them. One eye always on her twins however.
“The pack decided that they did not want a mutt amongst them after all Kura. Samar and myself left that very night and traveled quite a way.. We settled down in this small valley and started a family of our own this past spring. One night he went out to find me some food and I remained behind with our pups.. There were five of them then.. He never returned. Weeks passed by and I couldn't leave the den in fear of another predator finding our den. The weaker pups starved to death... eventually hunger drove me to leave the den to find food. I stumbled across Samar's torn body.. and that night I took the two remaining pups and left.. We've been on the run since then..”
She finished her story with a heavy sigh, eyes downcast as she thought of her mate and lost pups. Raziya missed Samar dearly and wished that he was still by her side. Life wouldn't seem so dreary if he was here. As the Alpha talked of a deer kill her mouth began to salivate, meat would be great right now. The last meal she had was quite some time ago, most of the meat she caught went to her two sons..
“I'm sorry I forgot to tell you their names. Kamots and Matzi..”
Speaking their names the two pups came closer, tails tucked and submission apparent on their features. They had never seen any other wolf besides their mom before, so this was clearly a new experience for the two of them.

Frowning thoughtfully Kura was not overly surprised the pack evenly rejected his sister, females were often more welcomed then males. This pack however was in need of adult males, since he was the only one at the moment. Interesting twist as that was the fact Calla was so welcoming confused him, odd place this was. Not all wolves hated those who were different, their father being one of them, but many were weary by nature. Talk of food drew his attention back to this pack not others he had come across and left just as soon.
“I did not Samar well but at least he did prove true, I am sorry you lost him as you did, you both deserved better.”
Moving with the others he continued to look around seeing no recent sign of wolves about, clearly the sister was father off down the borders somewhere. Since Calla had not mentioned a dislike of wolf dogs he did not concern himself with the Alpha’s sister just then. She was not there and would be dealt with as needed when she joined them. It was nice his sister had a friendly female to make friends with, friends helped with lose and neither had any. Turning to the cubs he smiled at their names, some envy was felt but he would never begrudge his sister any happiness.
“They are adorable sister. You two must be hungry hm? Do not worry about a thing nothing will harm you here. Thank you for your hospitably Calla, we are not use to such kindness.”
